Pride danes started back in 1995 with our first black dane, Ebony. We had dreams of showing her but she was too timid and scared of the big world outside and just preferred to stay home. We later adopted Thunder but after a short time, his many health problems finally took their toll and we decided to free him from his pain. It wasn't long before I found Panda and brought her home. She started her show career with me on the end of the leash, not having a clue what I was doing. When I heard that Panda' s mother had been bred for a repeat, I kept a close watch on the puppies. I soon fell in love with Trinity. Trinity later became the foundation of the Pride line. She didn't like showing very well but loved the agility ring. Her great sense of humor and constant companioship had me hooked. When Trinity was old enough and had passed her health clearances, I bred her to Ch. GMJ's The CEO Speaks. She had 7 puppies, all mantles except one, a mantle merle. At that time, I met my soon to be second husband and decided not to keep a puppy from Trinity's litter because of the many changes happening in my life. I did, however, keep her daughter Niobe on a co-ownership. Niobe, owned by Cheri and Aaron Bender, later gave us Cadet. We also were lucky enough to get our gorgeous harl girl and first Champion dane Kenya, from G and D Danes. After Clif and I were married, we adopted a rescue Nova Scotia Duck Toller and named him Moses. Moses is such a great companion and bird hunter, we decided to get another. Cherry joined us from Vermilion Tollers and quickly proved herself not only as a natural bird dog but a natural in the show ring, earning her Championship just before her second birthday. Now, our family consists of Me (Darcy), husband Clif, his two children TC (15) and KayCee (8) and our 7 dogs. I hope you enjoy looking around and getting to know our pack. |
